I didn't you two were a couple.
I don't have a wife to ask, but I just asked yours.
She responded by telling me to get the f--- off the computer and come back to bed.
If he's racing a junior race, then it's a problem. If he's racing against the best in the world, then it's fine. Regardless of how old he is, he beat Rudisha and ran 1:43, which is a pretty good time for anyone of any age.

Drop your Ethio pride and get real!
Think about it...A 17 teen year old just beat perhaps the greatest 800m runner the world has ever seen. If the world truly thought Aman was 17 teen, it would be the biggest news in T&F in 2011 and in Ethiopia, there would dancing in the streets. Aman ran a 1:46 800m over 2 years ago, according to his birthdate, he would have been 14 at that time. This would make Aman the greatest running prodigy the world has ever seen. In fact, he would be better than Usain Bolt. Aman competed in world Juniors in 2009, at that time, he was 4 year younger than the average athlete and technically he should not have been allowed to compete since he was only 14 at the that time and the cut off for DOBs was 1993 and he was supposedly born in 1994. If Aman runs a 1:39 800m in a couple of years, then I will say perhaps he was only 17 when ran 1:43, in the rain and beat the world record holder.
Btw, I questioned Aman’s age several months ago and I don’t mean to pick on Aman or Ethiopia, because other countries age cheat as well and Ethiopia in my mind is not the worst offender. I understand there are people who legitimately don’t know there DOB, but there are many ways to approximate and perhaps you miss it by a couple of months or a year, but when I see these guys with beards competing in youth competitions, that taking it too far. I also posted by name, African phenoms who came on the scene running incredible times as Juniors and made only marginally to no improvement over their careers, because perhaps they were actually in their mid-20 when they we thought they were 18 teen. I also mentioned that is some cases the African athletes were innocent and that some U.S. based agents have been complicit in this age cheating practice. Also, a young American or European 1:45/3:35 type can get in just about any meet, but for Africans, meet promoters what to see those type of times from juniors. The difficult things for me is the unfairness is the system towards the athletes who are age legit and the IAAF does even attempt to do anything about it and the USATF also stays pretty much silent on the issue. (I applaud WEJO for having the balls to make a comment about it, albeit it was not an entirely serious one, but other publications avoid the issue completely.)
Btw, my wife said 27 and my daughter said 32 using a better picture. I will be kinder and say Aman is a great young talent and put his age between 21 to 25. And, btw, Alan Webb was not balding at age 17 and no matter what he looked like, we know exactly what date he was born. I will add that this has nothing to do with sour grapes, the Africans are very good and I’m not surprised to see them winning youth and junior competitions, just like they do on the senior level.
How old did Lebron James look? Greg Odom?

Forget how they looked, we know how old they were.
Will people shut up about Greg Oden and LeBron James. If a man is over 7 feet tall and weighs over 300 pounds people will think he is older than he is even if he has the face of a day old baby. Comparing a guy who is probably smaller than your average 10th grader to a giant is a worthless endeavor.
Can people please use correct English? I can't handle the your/you're and there/their/they're grammar errors. If you can't type out a coherent, correctly phrased thought, stop posting.
As for the age, I'd guess around 21. Who cares though? He's just a runner

Forgot a period. Bro.
correct. another fraud.
People, people....
Ethiopia uses a different calendar: it is currently 2004 there (don't take my word for it, look it up)....Just add 7 years to his "official" age of 17 and you'll get his actual age: 24.
I didn't read this whole thread, but i hope i'm not the first person on all of letsrun to point out this very simple explanation.
Aman is better than Nick Symmonds, the best the US has to offer currently. Deal with it.
WTF is wrong with you people's wives? I don't think he looks more than 23.
Wife: 16
If Labron James is 25, he must be ....15.
If he was AN AMERICAN..i WOULD SAY 15...but since he is from ETHIOPHIA ..i say ..he lies in his age and he must be 32 years old. HAPPY NOW BITCHES???
