will the course or weather benefit any of the good teams over another, specifically ACU or Western State? Or perhaps it won't be a factor at all?

I don't think the course will make a difference in the outcome of the race. The best runners always beat the slower ones, no matter what the course.
It will be a two team race, after that is a jumbled mess.
I've heard that it's a really flat, fast course. Is there any truth to this? If there is I would think that some of the speedier guys might be at an advantage...it is 10K and not 8K though.
That was not true last year, many runners who seemed to be far superior were beat by runners that were not up to their level.
seemed is the key word. When it's finally go time in November, the big boys show up. The fellas at Western always show up, no matter what the course.
bloomers, you're full of it. you're right about western but your generalization is way off. people have bad days and people run bad races. last year's national race outcome was FAR from an accurate depiction of who the 'big boys' are.
