That last 100m was absolutely absurd. I'm pretty convinced the time is legit.
The wind or some other factor .. yeah, good chance something was going on. Really looked like a 19.2-19.3 run to me though. That was fast.

Watching the video I HT it in 19.02. So 19.26 would seem reasonable from that.
wind 0.7+
I used the .20 just for illustration.
It would be epic if there was a 0.40 error! It would have been great if Bolt had run the 200 with that error.
PS--somebody registered my moniker. Unbelievable!
It can't be scripted if he can't run 19.26.
East Germany Redux.
My sense is that Glen Mills = Trevor Graham.
BUT, there is also a revolution in training that allows much faster times. It is no different from what you see weekly in Iten, Kenya: Once people see it as possible, more people will do the training (and hope they survive uninjured). See Gay first, now Dix almost matching Bolt today.
Hard 400 m training as an extended general prep followed by 100m speed training flat-out works. But as I learned this year, surviving the transition uninjured is a challenge.
ive read alot of your posts on bolt, personally, im no expert, but Its my opinion that few if any of these guys are clean, Blake's time tonight was a huge personal best, he has been caught before right? But not with ped's right?, it may have receational?
Wonder if he is eating the same 'Chicken Nuggets' bolt does.
Also, i wonder what this does to the 'bolt is the only one able to run thesr times because he is very tall/large stride crew.
The argument from personal incredulity . . . . never a good thing for that to be your only reasoning.
Once people see it is possible through doping (Jeter), more people will dope.
Plus, d, something just HAD to be fishy about this race.
First this year we had Clermont and Eugene...now Brussels?
Oh please. The top 3 all PB'd by huge margins - this all in the same race. Of course there is a problem - though it may have been a fast race.
A PR by 0.52 seconds.
His progression:
06 - 20.92
07 - 20.62
08 - 21.06
09 - 20.60
10 - 19.78
11 - 19.26
He was already at 19.78, one of the best in the world in 2010--AND HE IMPROVES BY 0.52 IN ONE SEASON.
AND BY 1.34 SECONDS IN 2 SEASONS, WHEN HE WAS ALREADY AT 20.60
This makes Lemaitre's improvement to 19.80 look puny by comparison.
What the hell is going on? Is Lemaitre going to run 19.2x at the Olympics?
And what about Blake? He's young, he should still be improving. Will he break 19 next year?
You guys are killing me seriously. Unnu a real comedians!!Congrats Yohan...you continue the great St.Jago tradition. Force the HATERS to promulgate all theories and explanations.I knew this kid was serious from when I was training for cricket and he was 20 metres away training. So much discipline and drive. As I said let them talk because that's all they can do.
That said that was an amazing race. The Dix reaction was like that of Gay when he nearly busted his balls behind a 9.59. Dying with laughter....Doping???Clutching at straws IMO. He was admired for running 9.92 now chastised for running the 2nd fastest time ever. hahahahahahahahaha...Jamaicans are so dirty that we all just dope every day with drugs nobody can detect and the IOC,IAAF all are part of this 'cover up'.
Ya, I believe that. Chicken nuggets? Yes we have KFC here. Imagine that in a third world country with everybody being Rastafarian marijuana smokers and dopers from birth.
Maybe someone will do an "analysis" like I did for the Eugene meet, to see if there is anything suspicious, from a junk stats point of view.
Well, gosh, he sure did close fast. Nothing's for certain in London in 2012
What, and Carl Lewis didn't have "drive"? Don Quarrie didn't have "drive"? Mike Marsh didn't have "drive"? Walter Dix doesn't have "drive"? Blake is better because he DOES have "drive"?
B.S.
Plenty of guys have had "discipline and drive", yet only a small handful have produced absurdities--and many of them are Jamaicans.
Another suspicious run by a confirmed drug cheat.
I'll be the first to say "I told you so" when the Jamaicans get popped.
Nothing's for certain, that's for sure.
What a 200 final it will be if everybody makes it in. Holy crap, can you imagine Blake, Bolt, Dix, Gay, Lemaitre, and who knows who else, all coming off the turn?
Wow, that would be maybe the best 200m race ever.
So much for Lemaitre being the one to watch. Blake is the same age and already the only realistic competion for Bolt.
Because we are absurdly good....All I can say is eat your heart out

We? You don't do shit. Always remember that.
Yes, you are absurdly good at sprinting.
Also at drugs.
That's the problem--you guys could win ANYWAY, it just wouldn't be in consistently absurd times.
I mean, come on. I've repeated many times on this board that Jamaicans are special when it comes to sprinting, in my personal experience. And I have lots of it.
BUT NOT THAT MUCH BETTER, CONSISTENTLY.
At this point, it's just a joke!
