The hall of shame - the number of athletes per country currently serving doping bans. India is in a class by itself, but performances by athletes from China, the U.S.A. and Brazil should be viewed with skepticism based on the levels of drug use evidenced by the number of doping bans. Russia, Nigeria, Italy, the Ukraine, Romania and France also appear untrustworthy, while Portugal, Morocco, Great Britain, Belarus, Poland, Greece and Austria are dubious at best. Countries notably free of doping convictions include Canada, Eritrea, Japan and Kenya.
