Actually 2001. Wejo wrote about this race when letsrun was in its infancy. Lead motorcycle led the pack off course twice.

I don't know if it was Wejo wearing a t-shirt, the leaders looking like they were getting lost all the time, or Wejo's unconventional kicking strategy, but that had the charming feel of a middle school grudge match.

Great race Wejo

Holy shit, I'm in this video! At the starting line. I was a couple months shy of turning 40 and never heard of letsrun until seeing the man we now know as Wejo, wearing the tee shirt. We all took buses from the MGM Grand to the starting line around 3:30AM...

The winner was on more EPO than the Chinese women's national team in 1993.
