Symmonds is likely taking Krummenacker through 800 so Krum can take the field to 1100 or so.

Symmonds is FAR better at 800 than 1500. Such a move would be utterly preposterous.
You do realize he was 5th in the world a couple weeks ago, right? I'm all about runners moving up, but to say he has no chance in medalling is kind of foolish.
That was a great race! Was his lead 40 or 80 meters with a lap to go?
He may PR again at Rieti — 1:43.5 Certainly has a possible chance at a medal next year in London in the 8 and a few years yet to improve further in the 800 before he should ever decide to move up to the 1500.
