You'd better have a damn good definition of "100% female." Let's hear it.

How about that 100% females means not born with testicles.
100% Female: XX chromosomes
Cut and dry
I don't care about the people with androgen insensitivity. They aren't female. If you have a Y chromosome, you compete with the men.

It's a shame that Semenya is a 'tweener freak and my heart goes out to it, but it's unfair to the other women to have it racing them and essentially stealing from them. If it's allowed to compete as a woman then the IAAF might as well go ahead and legalize any and all PEDs. Just create some kind of Abomination Games where the cripples and the people with biomic legs and the hermaphrodites and the goatpeople and whatever other quasi-human athletes want to play along can all race each other no matter what they are or say they are. Easy as hell and also compassionate.
Wow.

And this is why I come here.

This.
Watching him/her walk around after the race, I was easily picturing her/him thinking to herself/himself "Yeah, Your Welcome. I could have won that."

Does anyone notice that Caster is referred to as 'it' in this post? That is just not right. She is a person and deserves some respect and only the IAAF can decide if she has the right to compete. They say she does.
CSFan
We are debating and questionig whether IAAF is correct. This takes a higher level of thinking.... Analysis.
By saying "whatever the IAAF says is right" does not add to the debate.
Thinking and analysis is required. We are not against Caster although I question her effort sometimes.

I can give a definition of 100% male, testes, whether internal or external. If you have balls, then you're a dude, and shouldn't be racing girls.
Barking Spider for POD!!!!!!!!!!
not a conspiracy theorist, but from where i was sitting it looked like caster let the convicted druggie russian win. can't speculate as to exactly why, but people have thrown out some plausible suggestions in this thread...
I agree. It absolutely looked like she dropped into second on purpose. It looked like she had a couple of gears left and could have easily outkicked the other woman.
Incidently - My daughter asked why there was a guy in a womans race.
Caster should be allowed to participate as a rabbit (essentially what she did for Savinova). Win-win for everyone.
Does anyone have more information regarding how Semenya trains? I had read in 2009 that she had not trained for several months in 2009 before the World Championships, and did not run much milege when she was training. She herself said she was going to take off several more months after the World Championships to "rest". This seems to me to be more a training schedule of a semi-serious male athlete, not a world-class female athlete.
Very good point Maria. Semenya appears to train sparingly, and only gets serious within a few months of a major compeition. Someone said she ran 2:10 at the World Junior Championships a few years ago, and she didn't make the final. Its sad that a tweener can ruin it for everyone. The pendulum needs to swing back to protect the majority, instead of feeling sorry for the one person who ruins it for everyone. My daughter can't bring a peanut butter sandwich to school because one girl is allergic to peanuts. Here we go again, one person ruining it for the whole group.
i don't think she tanked. i've looked at that race several times... either he/she has an extremely deceptive way of running or he/she absolutely did not try. he/she didn't blink an eye once getting passed. he/she did not attempt to extend any additional effort, which is unheard of.
No one on this message board actually knows for a fact the details of Semanya's medical history, whether or not she is intersex or if she is what type of intersex condition she has. We also do not know exactly what her estrogen and testosterone levels are. Everything that people are saying to discredit her is pure speculation based on the fact that she looks masculine. The fact of the matter is she was cleared by the IAAF to compete and that is what she is doing. The IAAF however does test the hormone levels of athletes to make sure that their levels fall within the normal male or normal female range. Considering the fact that Semanya is under such scrutiny her estrogen and testosterone levels clearly at this point tn time, fall within the normal female range in order for her to be allowed to compete in the women's category. And if you take a closer look at her, it becomes obvious that she has a standard female bone structure in terms of the positioning and angle of her hip bones. Anyone who has studied human anatomy should be able to tell this.
I think See Men Ya is saving his running abilities for the future, the Olyimpics where he will show his true potential. Does See Men Ya have periods? How did she get this name? It sounds like someone up there is playing some funny games with people's mind.
