Again, just to clarify, Cragg is not from Ireland. He's from South Africa, but elected to run for Ireland due to dual citizenship and other factors.

That's staggering. No level of proof would be convincing to you? May as well say, "I don't think Obama was born in the US, and I never will."
I could understand you doubting the legitimacy of the current world records, but to never believe that they could be legitimate? Suppose I said:
"I'm going to give you $10 million, and in exchange, you're going to house a young Ethiopian supertalent in your home for the next year. He's going to sleep down the hall from you, you'll go with him to the track, ride along on a bike during his distance runs, and follow his every step of training. Furthermore, WADA will come and find him every day and will take blood, urine and hair specimens each and every day for testing."
You do that for a year, follow his every step, live with him, and see that he's tested daily, and he runs 12:36 (a new WR) and 26:17, would you still believe that he's somehow sneaking in a drug under everyone's noses?
I'm not saying you need to believe Bekele's times were legitimate. But there must be some level of evidence that can be met for you to believe that those times can be naturally run, even if that bar is very high. Or you may as well say, "I don't believe in evolution, and I never will."

What is Rupp's record against Farah? Oh for XX? Yet I am supposed to "know" he can beat Farah?!?
Sometimes the logic on these boards just escapes me.
you must have missed the part where he said IF Rupp has a perfect day and some luck... but you know how hard logic is, right?

Nice PR at the WC's!
Do you think that guy knows someone of power in Gabon? Have to believe that SOMEONE in that country can crack 18:00 even in the heat of Daegu.

Ummm...sorry, but no. I did not miss any part of the message. And logic? Ummm..no again. I could run rings around your ass in any logical challenge.
Unless Farah falls down and drops out of the race Rupp's not going to beat him, perfect day or not. And if you do count Farah dropping out as part of luck then the original "with a perfect day and luck Rupp can beat Farah" becomes essentially meaningless.
Nice try though.
Is there any video of the heats? Can't find shit on youtube.

Good try by Bumbalough. 2 years ago he was almost last at USAs in the 5000. 4 years ago he couldn't make an NCAA final. He's come a long way.
no dummbasss you did miss the part where he said IF Rupp has a perfect day and some luck.
If I have luck today I will win the lottery. The Likely hood of that happening has nothing to do with it being possible. Think before you speak. your clearly below 9000
dude we're both pushing like 30,000 when we fight!!!
To complain about Jake Robertson getting into the final by "boo-hooing" seems a bit silly. He had nothing to do with the protest or creating (what was thought to only be a lost chance) opportunity. It was the authorities-that-be who informed him that he was unjustly hastled in the race to the point where the rules allowed him a chance in the final.
For him to refuse to be in the final would be unjust to his country and himself. It wasn't as if he orchestrated the whole thing. IMO, i DO think he would have made it in regularly had he not been hastled so frequently in the race.. when you are red lining it doesn't take much to throw you off and into the abyss
