And the extended version of his birth certificate!
"Solinsky's twitter is the "smoking gun" in my opinion. He himself said that his hamstring was improving (he himself tweeted "PROGRESS" [emphasis by Solinsky] on 8/15), then suddenly his hamstring was reinjured after doing a speed workout--a speed workout 2 weeks before a world championship meet for someone attempting to heal a hamstring."
Ok, so because he was getting better and then reinjured it right before worlds and had to pull out is a red flag? Have you ever pulled a hamstring and have you gone through the rehab of an injury like it....soleus, gastroc, quad etc? These things happen...for real, yes injuries happen to people in our sport, AMAZING! And the fact that it happened right before worlds isn't all that uncommon. There's always a fine line between injury and a huge breakthrough. If you're really a "coach" you would know that, but I'm guessing you know nothing about the sport except what you see from afar.
Also, do you think someone going to worlds is going to NOT run speed two weeks before? How else do you keep sharp and get yourself ready to run against the champion quality you face at Worlds? If he can't do a typical speed workout, he or his coach should have scratched him and given someone else an opportunity. He was progressing, doesn't mean he's pain free or is healed. Should he toe the line knowing he's not 100% and risk more damage just to please all the dumb ass critics who think he's doping like yourself?
You don't have a clue about this sport or what it takes to be world class.
He will probably drop out on his way to the testing room!

My guess is that he will be on his way to get tested but will claim he was pushed away from the testing room. However, upon further review of the security cameras it will be proven that he voluntarily avoided going to the testing room.
When faced with a 2 year suspension he will say that it was all a ploy by Rupp.

And I volunteer to replace Steve Jobs. Doesn't mean it'll happen. Some people are easily impressed by appearances, though.

All this means is that his positive test will be covered up with Nike $$$ and the USATF knuckleheads.
You think they would have done that for the actually well known Nike athletes (World and Olympic Champions) that got caught and had their time outs.
I am a close relative to Chris. He is clean! He is injured. He's a good kid. Stop all this speculative crap about doping. period!

Unless those athletes had oversized contracts that Nike would like to get out of.

i feel like if anything this past summer has proved he isnt cheating. at least at the time being. i cant speak for when he ran 26:59 because i have no idea if he was cheating. none of us do.
The old "if he was cheating, why isn't he breaking world records instead of being injured?" rationale. Only applies to white runners that we like, and definately not Sergio Sanchez.
Some of you guys are seriously terrible. How easy it is to hide behind a message board and accuse someone of cheating. If any of you guys knew Chris you'd be embarrassed by your posts. You should be ashamed. This board has turned to crap.

Reminds me of creationists: start with your conclusion, and present a limited set of "facts" as evidence to arrive at your per-determined conclusion.
Nike cares about winning. Their philosophy is to have as many swooshes in top position as possible.
Those guys were winning. Merritt ended 2009 as World Champion and the undisputed world number one! The whole reason they went after him (before the end of his first collegiate indoor season) was because they wanted somebody in their uniform to beat Jeremy Wariner. He had just gotten there in 2008, and confirmed it in 2009. Then Merritt gets busted and Wariner is back to being world number one in 2010.
Your thinking doesn't make any sense. They pay sports figures to promote their brand. They have normal methods for dealing with athletes they want to cut/reduce. They didn't say, "we're paying Tiger a huge sum of money, leave the Men in Black at home when he crashes his car on Thanksgiving." They haven't dropped him even as other sponsors have.
Besides, the budget on track and field isn't that big in comparison to other sports. They spent more than three times their annual budget for the entire sport of track and field to get the NFL uniform contract. You haven't got the folks in Beaverton saying, "we need an extra million bucks, let's destroy one of our most high profile athletes. Don't worry about the time and effort to cancel and chuck out all those ads that feature him." It doesn't happen.
And you're fond of strawmen. You believe that Nike has little influence on USATF and who they publicly out and sanction for doping when caught? You're also reminiscent of creationists, just keep your head in the sand and ignore the obvious.
Haters gon hate, Hipsters gon hipst
Most suspect and odd are those who go to unecessary extremes to prove their innocence.
At least he didn't say that he was 99% sure he was going to win WC's and then withdraw the week of like Asafa Powell. Now, that to me is a major red flag.

I know they don't.
Look at his progression! He moves out west gets on the juice and bam he is fast now. The year before he was getting OWNED by Teg.
I think that was the turning point and he just gave into the "everyone is doing it" mentality. People like him are terrible for the sport.
Kara and Lagat are cheats too
If kara, Lagat and Solinsky are cheats, then they will have done the kind of damage that will never be repaired. Let's hope that is not the case.

If you where a fan of Galen Rupp you would have know how bad and mean people are on this board this years ago. This board is nothing but trolls who pile on and make shit up. They hate success because they have never know it before themselves. it would have been nice though if you would have cared when the piled on others and praised Chris but it sucks huh when it's on the other foot.
Sorry to tell you there is no Santa Clause either.
