?as long as it's legal and as long as i'm happy it's the 'right thing'.?
This could apply to masturbation, which is what your grad school experience sounds like to me.
?your judgement of the situation is hardly relevant and i couldn't care less.?
You asked for input. You?re getting it. So far, you?re not liking all the responses you?re getting. This isn?t intended to be disparaging, just input.
?if i'm young?
Actually, your age should have nothing to do with loans/assistantships. This is more applicable to the running. Now is the time to pursue it.
?and i qualify for student loans and/or scholarships then i deserve them?
This sounds like entitlement. Attitude check. Also, if you?re awarded them you may deserve them. Too many are qualified for all to be awarded them. Third, if you?re saying you?re offered one then you shouldn?t feel bad taking it. True, but you should feel bad taking it and then putting in a half-a$$ed effort.
?maybe i shouldn't say i'm not academic because i've challenged myself at a very selective undergraduate institution for the past few years in a tough major.?
Congratulations. Really.
?i just want some of the stress relieved for grad school.?
As noted by others, don?t expect this. Expectations and graduate school politics alone could nix it.
?i originally went into college as a student and i'm coming out as a wanna be runner.?
Nothing wrong with that. College is a learning experience.
?if i'd have known that i'd be this way then i'd have gone to an 'easy' school from the get go.?
But you?d never have learned to work hard toward a goal, and wouldn?t have cultivated the desire to strive to be a good runner. Use what you?ve learned.
?So finding a job of any kind that requires me to be there for 7-10 hours at a time is what i'm trying to avoid.?
This can be done by being creative in the way you go at it. Depending on what skills you have to sell, there?s split shifts, freelance, flex time, etc.
Will you be able to fully commit to your training while doing less than striving for excellence in grad school at the same time? I don?t know the answer, because it?s you, not me. I do suspect that the Kampainens of the world could do both at the same time precisely because they set the controls on their entire being to ?excellence.?
I went to an excellent undergrad school and a mediocre university?s grad school. Challenging was better.
But as to your question:
?all i'm asking for is some names of some easy schools with grad programs. any would be appreciated.?
Actually, almost third-tier state university should have an easier grad program. I know, I went to one. Many of the small state universities (North Dakota State, U. of Alaska, etc.) fall into this category, as do many of those called the University of (State) at (City). Check the US News college edition for rankings. They don?t pull any punches.
