Hmmmm, another injured runner...

She had to pull out of a trip to Daegu with a foot injury this month but is expected to run an autumn marathon in order to prove her worth ahead of next year's Olympics.

Are you kidding me Letsrun? This place is so useless. All of you are just a bunch of washed-up old men who are still living in the glory days. Give me a break. Forget I ever asked anything.
This place is useless because we don't treat YOUR question as the most pressing thing in our lives? Get over yourself, you jumped up little prick.
I'll risk naming one athlete.
Amine Laalou.
There might also be a Jamaican sprinter as well as a Russian athlete(s).

She pulled out beginning of July.
No athlete will miss the world champs to avoid tests. The biological passport begins then, but it's not a one-off. Everyone will have to get on board so they might as well start now.
As with the cyclists it will be more interesting to see not who pulls out but who drops performance. In the case of Le Tour, apparently everybody. It'll be fairly amusing to say the least if no-one runs sub-10 for the 100 again, but that won't happen.
I suspect the following:
Jeter
Bolt
Powell
Other Jamaicans
Merrit
That French sprinter who ran a sub 10
Nobody is dropping out because of drugs, it just excites you guys to point the finger.
Grow up, your athlete sucks, you suck more, the drugged athlete would still be faster if there weren't any drugs.
Bro, Derek Jeter is as clean as a whistle.
Come on.. she had spinal surgery. Go away.

not even pretending to be injured...
Dolores Checa of Spain, after improving her 5000m PB to 14:46 this season won´t be going to worlds.
Reason: ha renunciado a participar por estar "saturada" de competición

Dolores Checa is the first name on the list for this thread. No valuable reason to not run worlds, and no way she was clean. Massive PR, effortless.
Before that announcement Kara and Molly were criticized for being selfish for keeping their spots on the team. Now, you losers will criticize them for dropping out. Why don't crawl into a hole and disappear.
If that translated properly, Checa is pulling out because there's too much competition? I'd probably rather get busted doing drugs than be that big of a pansy.

It basically says she's sick of competing. Burned out would be a better term.
Jeremey Wariner is out with injury......
Dolores Checa, que ha renunciado a participar por estar "saturada" de competición
That means that she's turned down participation because she is "saturated with competition", as in, she's run too many races and is burnt out.
It's definitely still a lame excuse, but it has nothing to do with the competition in her event.
Anyone who doesn't send 20 bucks to me immediately is a dirty drug cheat!
Don't give me any lame excuses.

Spain?
Politics will rule, and certain third world nations will get away with murder as usual. Add Cuba to your list of curiosities.
sergio sanchez has pulled out
Sanya Richards Ross will pull out. She was just awful and an after-thought until London and "surrrprriiissse, surrrprrrriiiissse", pops a 49.66. Dirty girl...
