Great race Leo
Great race Leo
He shocked the world.
Beautiful race. Gutsy win. Impressive.
Emsley Carr Mile slowest win in 58 years was 410 by Gabe Didgeridoo Jennings
what happened that year ?
EG ran 345 one year, could have showered while Jennings finished
quick rinse
Great second day for the Americans:
1-2 in the men's mile, Sanya Richards comeback to good form in the 400, wins in the men's 200, women's 5000m, women's 100, men's 4x100s, etc...
He always runs well in UK, y'all say? It could be their beer! Just throwing the idea out there!
I must be getting old. What does FTW stand for?
Great run by Leo. When he is in the race at the end his finish is fabulous.
For The Win
I learned something. I thought FTW stood for f--k the wimps!! Learn something every day!
It's the MILE, not the 1500. Home page and recap need to be corrected.
Seems like Manzano has been fairly consistent this year. Last year was really weird. I don't know what that was all about.

When Manzano is on, he's quite good. His last 500 was way better than anyone's. A kick like that could put him in the hunt for a medal.
In big meets besides London, he ran right with Laalou at Penn. And of course he just outkicked the same Lagat that was right with the Kiprop and just behind Laalou in Paris.
I say he's ready to rock in Deagu.
Last time, he didn't have anything left for the 1500 final. Looks like Cook is having him work on not wasting any energy. He's been doing it (well) all season--just qualify dammit and save it for the final.
WOW
His sytle remains me a lot of Joe Falcon.
Joe Falcon was a great runner to watch! I was fortunate to be able to see him run in high school and traveled to some of his college meets. I have a pic of him after winning regionals in Springfield, MO, with my oldest son who was just a young tiker, then. Wonderful man. Last time I chatted with Joe, he was a policeman of some sort back in his MO home town of Belton. Super person!!!!
THE MILE is a better race than the 1500 which is too short.
yeah, i was thinking that was slow for a 1500
It is probably a solid 3:32+ 1500. He is now on the US all-time US top ten list in the mile.
He ran 3:50.64 last year.
But this is the biggest win of his career.
Leo was already number 9 at 3:50.xx before this one
and Joe Falcon ran 3:49.31 over twenty years ago
