What do you all think? Listening to him pre-Chicago, it sounded like he needed to take a break; at least a 1-year hiatus before his next competitive marathon.

I wish he would run Boston.
A one year break? What the heck for.
Life is too short for that. Do it now.
First sub-2:05 ever.
TOO MUCH MONEY!
Sure he's coming back to London...big $$$. He's at the top of his game right now, go with the momentum and make the money where and when you can. Not sure how much longer he will last...running GREAT since 97. But he continues to surprise folks year in and year out.
Yes, if all goes well, another WR. Sub 2:05??? That's quite a bit...but on the other hand, would anybody would have thunk we would see this many sub 2:06s????
His Chicago time is a Boston Qualifier.
Now that he's an American, it would help him
with endorsements to win the most popular race
in this country. Everyone has heard of The Boston Marathon.
The general public doesn't care about races overseas.
Is he afraid of losing to one of the Hungry Kenyons?
Before you say it all about the money, think about the big Picture.
You really think KK would need a qualifying time to run Boston? There have been LOTS of top people invited over the last several years to make their debuts at BAA. And Big Picture? So KK wins Boston....yeah, it get more coverage than London on the day, but how many people on the street have you heard mention Geoff Smith or Charlotte Teske lately? KK...go for it.
Flora could buy the entire Boston race with the money they gave Paula last year just for her debut. Why would KK run a race for American pride, shit he got the citizenship to make the cash. Did anyone notice the Chicago is no longer double money for US in top ten? Marathon Running at the top is MONEY NUMBER ONE, to quote a Thai book from Mr. Jason's library! Boston is a great race and on the right day faster than London (1994, ask Coogan!)KK is in a Flora race and then Chicago again to keep it fast and high dollar, period, end of debate, end of strand on letsrun.com. Thanks for the knowledge up front!!
MONEYINTHEGAME
Yes...agree. Even if KK won Boston, he would not get "more money" because of the additional exposure...NB pays him a pretty penny regardless. And I would assume there is some kind of WR bonus in his contract. Winning London, or heck, even DNFing London would probably get him more money than Boston. Appearance money goes a LONG way...and is guaranteed. He has to make a living...can't blame em.
