Maybe he meant to type 1-5?

All 8 of the men's teams will be in the Gold race at Paul Short Invite this upcoming weekend (although Princeton is supposed to be in Notre Dame as well, so it won't be an exact pre-Heps meet). Meanwhile, Princeton women will be in the Brown race while all of the others but Columbia will be in the Gold race (Columbia women not present for the invite). Should be exciting to see how it goes.

Dream on.
He meant "1500 guys" I believe.

I just checked their roster and they have no where near that many guys on the team.
That's not true. wrote:

He obviously meant 1500 guys in the nation of Colombia, he just misspelled Colombia.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did not do any XC racing but just did the practices to build up his base for the upcoming track seasons (considering his long-term goal is to make the Olympic squad). Cool to see how he is adjusting so far.

Thanks very much for posting this. Really enjoyed it. It will be fun to see this group of freshmen and sophomores run over the next few years. There's a lot of potential there.
Paul Short Score:
score only counting Heps teams
39 Columbia
80 Dartmouth (6th pl 25)
80 Harvard (6th pl 30)
80 Brown (6th pl 43)
108 Cornell
163 Yale
171 Princeton
257 Penn
I'm not sure that scoring Princeton in there has much (any) relevance.
Agreed! But was done just for place holding sake
Princeton's 12th guy (#1 guy for the B team) is faster than
Dartmoth's 6th guy
Columbia's 8th guy
Yale's 2nd guy
Harvard's 4th guy
Cornell's 4th guy
Brown's 5th guy
Penn's 1st guy
Is it just me or was Columbia guys running in a pack?
James Leakos was the top Ivy in the Gold race (5th) while Abbey D'Agostino was top Ivy league in women's gold (4th).
Women's Merge for the Six that Ran
41 - Yale
42 - Cornell
70 - Dartmouth
83 - Brown
107 - Harvard
179 - Penn
Yale keeps doing it.
Where was Columbia?
Columbia women have the weekend off" they apparently raced last weekend in Toledo. They'll compete again on Oct 7 in the Metropolitian Champs.

Harvard has their race recap and interview with Saretsky up on their athletics' website already. According to the coach, there was a mass fall about 400m into the gold race that he said impacted some of the Harvard crew... does anyone else know who else was impacted by this? Or can anyone else verify this? Just curious.
wtf is going on w/ penn.....

It will be Princeton's B team vs the rest of the Ivy League at Paul Short. It will be interesting to see how they place against everyone's A team
I predict they will be third
1 DAR
2 COL
3 PRIN B
Looks like this prediction didn't work out too well. A few of the other teams are perhaps a bit better than you give them credit for. Being an underdog does has its advantages, including motivation and pride.
Really interesting to see how the individual race at Paul Short played out. Leakos came up big, and Lowry showed his 5K from the spring wasn't a fluke, with both of them beating the more accomplished Ethan Shaw. Also, all three mentioned here beat Mark Amirault, making his UVA debut.
Columbia had a big race at Paul Short. Could help some other Ivy teams get to nationals later in the year...
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
