Yeah, no other Ivy is in a state with good HS runners.
To repeat: anyone know when Ivy xc practice will/has start(ed)? I see that other Ivy sports have been practicing for a while...

Harvard xc runners started on Monday.
Any word on who Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, or Penn recruited for XC? I thought they would have released those rosters by now.
Will Merber be a 2012 Olympic Trials finalist in the 1500,5,000 or steeple?

Merber is a stud no doubt but after a year off he will have it handed to him by cabral and leung in cross and by cotton and callahan in track.
It looks like Dartmouth's, Penn's, and Yale's rosters are posted on their websites (no formalized frosh intro yet). The links are below:

Apparently trying to put 6 links in one post counts as "spam" on these boards so I need to split them up.

(although they have Katie Grace still on their roster as she graduated in 2011...)
Still waiting on Brown.
Cornell men don't have their roster up either.
Kate Grace did a semester abroad and will be back in the fall for Yale. Same with John Van Deventer at Yale.
Well, their roster still isn't up, but I see that the Cornell men's (and women's) first meet is 9/9, their traditional opener versus Army--and adding Binghamton? (I don't know how good Bing is, but I see that they brought in some decent frosh on the men's side this year.) Might be a good move for CU: their last few season openers have not been particularly competitive, at least on the women's side.
I'm too lazy to look up when the other Ivies will open their seasons. Anyone happen to know?
Harvard & Yale men Sept 17 in Boston at Franklin Park. Ditto for women but add Princeton women as well. Princeton's men's team doesn't consider it worth the travel? But there may be some pretty good runners coming out of these other Ivys this year or next....
Paul Harkins, formerly of New Mexico State is the new men's XC/Distance coach at Yale.

He was at Brown a before NMSt, as was his wife, who was his assistant. She's a Columbia alum - no mention in the release if she'll be taking part at Yale.
So with that, the Heps XC coaching situation is settled
Okay, Cornell men's roster is up (
http://cornellbigred.com/roster.aspx?path=mcross&
), but it's evidently a work in progress, with incomplete info for more than half the names listed.
The squad size is just half of the women's, which seems a bit odd--Title IX at play?
Wow, there is quite a difference in size numbers for the two Cornell teams...
Anyways, both Princeton (11th) and Dartmouth (30th) men are nationally ranked going into the season (Columbia got other votes). The Princeton women (22nd) are ranked while Columbia just missed a ranking by being the top other votes getter.

My guess is that the Princeton men will possibly defeat or only narrowly lose to the entire league. Princeton will break the league record for all-time lowest score this fall. They are unbeatable!

RMS Titanic- "The Unsinkable Ship"
Have any Heps teams raced yet this season?
