Funny how LRC trolls with headlines.
If the best 1500m runners in the world had been in that race or if both races hadn't been at pedestrian pace, I'd consider Uceny a contender for worlds.
She hasn't done anything in her career to indicate she could be a 'favourite', but sure, she's close to being a contender...
Uceny has "not done anything in her career to indicate she could be a 'favorite'"? You're either trolling or you don't understand the sport. In the last two races, she has blown away many of the women who are likely to contend at Worlds. In case you are forgetting, Worlds and Olympics finals are almost always tactical races that go to the big kickers who are also good tacticians.
Uceny is in fine form right now to be considered one of the favorites at Worlds. I'll assume you're a troll and stupid me, I rose to the bait.

But Jamal has run 4:00 and Morgan hasn't.
Olympic Champion Nancy Langat hasn't broken 4:00 either.
Does Uceny's form remind anyone else of Ryan Hall's form?
Morgan vs. Ryan Hall? The fifference between Morgan and Hall is that Morgan actually fights and competes when facing adversity. She actually has a gear shifter on her very able runner body.

Funny how trolls here are so really stupid. Morgan hasn't run 4:00 (yet?) but she has beaten the two world leaders...twice in a row.
She IS the DL leader, something Lagat isn't and Rupp probably never will be.
She IS attractive but yes there are more attractive women on the USATF.

In her 4 DL meets she has 2 firsts, a second, and a third. She is the U.S. Champ.
What else does she need to accomplish this year to make her a "favourite"?
I agree that she is currently the best female 1500 meter runner in the World. That is however a bad thing if she wants to be the best in 7 weeks.
Leading now is like Kim Smith leading at 5k in Boston.
There are two more DL races for the women's 1500. 7/22 in Monaco and 9/16 in Brussels. So after Monaco, she has a month+ to fine tune herself for WC. There is money involved for the DL so I can't fault a professional racer for wanting to make money. And it seems the W1500 schedule falls in her lap somewhat for getting ready for WC.
Sorry--where did she go to school?

Or is leading now similar to how it was for Maryam Jamal, who won Oslo and Athens in June, Lausanne and Monaco in July, and who went on to win the world title in September in 2007?
