All I know is that Uli Steidl won in 31:50 and that it was on an extremely difficult course at Woodland Park in Seattle.
Yes, Uli (the winner of Seattle, Vancouver, and other marathons) ran a smart race on the 4 loop course (did I say challenging?). He took the lead on the 3rd loop and extended to the end.
In the Masters 6k (probably 300 to 400 short), Tony Young ran away from the field at the start and won by over a minute (18:04), with John O'Hearn (19:10) and Paul Abdalla (19:20) in tow. Regina Joyce won the womens race. Not sure on time, but impressive for a 45 year old!
The open womens 6k was won by a Canadian runner. I missed her name (in 19:25?).
All in all, a great day to run in the leaves and muck for a cross country race. Too bad there is never any press up here on the post college crowd?! Next report from Sandy, Oregon (regionals) on the 23rd.
Big Shot out to Ahrlin Bauman for leading it for half the race and still coming in 2nd to ULI 32:00's not bad for a bitch of a course.
late.

PA USATF XC Champs in SF on Nov. 24th will be the USATF western region xc champs again this year, and attracts impressive fields every year. Last year Nike Farm Team dominated men's and women's races, with Adidas Transports 2nd in the men's open. The team competition is quite fierce in all divisions.
