Every week (twice occasionally depending on race schedule) we jog out (1M or so) to a very steep hill (15% gradient approx). We do 3 x 10 sec efforts 100%, then 3 x bounding (ala Lydiard) for 10 secs and then one 15 sec effort. On the jog home we have done either a couple more 10-15 sec efforts or else a single effort which is 50% uphill (10% grad), 35% flat and 15% slightly downhill - originally took 40 secs, now 32 secs.
Hoping to increase the reps soon. Do this session as a family - wife, 5 kids and lodger all come too! Great fun!
