This was the number one dumbest call the NJSIAA has ever made. I fully understand that safety is the number 1 priority for meet officials; However, there was lightening before the 2nd heat of the 3200 went off. A meet director must make the call to either call off the race before it starts, or let it run. To cancel a 3200 meter race 2800 meters into it has to be the worst decision any living human being has ever made. Especially since Joe Rosa was on pace for a new state and meet record. This just shows you how far mankind has come. When I was a kid, a meet wasnt called off no matter how hard it was pouring out. Now if someone sneezes on the track meet officials call it a flood warning.
