It's sad but true that Nike did have Rono working in their parking garage in Oregon. I remember seeing a show on him on TV and he was talking about his problems with drinking and life. As far as great athletes go, I would have to say that Rono is a better athlete than ElG. but on par with Geb. Lets face it, todays athletes all have rabbits and no longer race, in the good old days men like Rono had balls and went after it all buy themselves. Just look at some of the times he ran in college in races where he won by 20+ seconds. His achievements in 81 (?) days can only be compared to that of Seb Coe and his world record stretch. Until ELG races at other distances besides the mile, he can never be considered the greatest (except at 1500 and mile of course).
