Eluid Kipchoge is also probably older than his DOB indicates. He is listed as being born in 1984 which would put him 26 or 27. He looks about 31.

Every time Lagat finishes like that I think of the same person. Regina Jacobs. No one at his age has ever been able to still finish and kick like that that wasn't later found out to be on drugs. Please start naming them off if you can dispute this.
1) Lagat does not need your respect, he's a great runner2) He walked over to him after the race and talked to him later3) You are a moron and have no clue what you are talking about, you could not be more wrong about Lagatyou DUMB@SS

Yeah, officials have even admitted that he is definitely at least in his twenties.
No, they haven't.

I hate to admit it but it's the first thing I thought when I saw the braces.
Excuse my ignorance, but I can't fathom out the correlation between taking steroids and wearing braces!?!

There is none, but there is a connection between HGH and braces. Excessive use can cause your jaw to grow, screwing up the alignment of your teeth.

He's fixing the gap in his teeth

Eight years ago, Gebrselassie was about the same age Lagat is now, and was only losing to a super fit Abraham Chebii (who was closing 5000s in 23 seconds) and Bekele.
Guys, I'm pretty sure Ragu's comment about Lagat and Lukas was a joke. I mean, if not then that's really sad, but I think you can relax a little.
Lagat is a total stud -- 36 and still rocking people's world on the elite stage! Always fun to watch.

It just boggles my mind that anyone could possibly think that drugs have anything to do with Lagat's performances.
Let's remember, he ran 3:26 on pure guts and talent.
There have been so many advances with training and nutrition these days that there is no reason that a talent like Lagat can't win Olympic medals well into his mid to late 40's (heck even 50's is a possibility). By eating a healthy diet of mostly organic foods and focusing on core strength (including 1-2 hours of drills and physio ball work)anything is possible. Do you have any idea how much more sophisticated training is right now compared to the 1980's?
Haha wtf organic foods give me a break. In case you forgot, he tested positive early 2000s for EPO in his blood.

Michael Johnson was almost 33 when he won the Olympic 400 the second time. I'll bet he still had enough kick in his legs to out sprint a few Kenyan two milers three-four years later, or maybe even made a move to the 800!
And in case you forgot, his B sample was negative.
Not sure how anyone can be mad at Lagat, he's a racer and always runs the the type of race needed to win. As a pro, Lagat has never lead a race and I mean never, Lagat will run fast if it is necessary; his fast times have come from fast races. Probably the reason why his career has lasted so long is the fact that he is only in top shape for about 2 months out of a year and only averages about 6 all efforts (going to the well) a year. This is not a secert, Lagat and his coach are upfront about this and the fact that he wins a lot says the system must be working.
Btw, you can never be mad at the winner, perhaps you should be mad at the athletes who left it open for Lagat.
The African Lagat is growing his jaw. About Michael Johnson I think he was on drugs, too. All the people around him were on drugs. How can this guy not be on drugs? It sounds like Armstrong's estory. The problem is the cover up behind the scenes. If athletes start to test positive all the time, there won't be sponsors or the public to watch. It means no profit, no money.

Yup, really starting to look like this guy
http://www.the-biomatrix.net/cool-stallone.jpg. They are almost indistinguishable.
Remember when Lagat was on workout wednesday on flotrack a few weeks back, and a lot of morons on this site were saying that his workout was weak, and all of his rivals were working harder, that he'd lose to them this year etc, etc?
He just crushed them all. Remember how wrong you were next time.
