would be nice but with 13:18 out that's a 12:58 negative split. Guess it could be done but it'll be a long haul. Would like to see -13:10 out and -13:05 back.

The entries on that IAAF pdf are different from the start lists on the Pre Classic website here:
http://www.runnerspace.com/eprofile.php?do=title&title_id=358&event_id=120
For instance, Maggie Vessey is released by Alice Schmidt on the Pre Classic site.
Guess we have to wait until Saturday to see who actually runs.
Vessey is running.
Profiles of Pacemakers
Tim Nelson:
7:48.87
13:20.33
27:28.19
Jacob Korir:
7:34.71
12:59.72
27:32.43
Thomas Longosiwa:
7:30.09
12:51.95
28:11.3
From the looks of it Thomas Longosiwa was at his strongest from 2007-2009. Unless he has transformed into a 10k runner I think he should be the first rabbit bringing the group at 13:10 pace for 3k. Then Tim Nelson takes over and continues the 13:10 pace until 4k. Finally Jacob Korir takes over and try to continue 13:10 pace until 6k.
I can't think of a better scenario right now for a fast race. The wildcard is Thomas Longosiwa: If he is in great shape Tim can attempt to go 4k, Thomas Longosiwa for 5k-6k, and Jacob Korir up to 7k. This would be the dream scenario and would be highly unlikely IMO.
This isn't ideal for the Americans but if the Africans are going to have a chance at the WR one of these scenarios needs to play out.

My prediction: No way a wr. Bekele was a 12:37 5k runner, who in this field can touch even 12:45? What is giving anyone the idea that this field can even get a runner under 26:30 much less 26:19?

but that's a while ago. Why did MO run a 10K last week? Tune-up race?
1. American Record - indoor 5K
2. Third at NYC half in 60:30 downhill with a strong tailwind
That's not too bad so far.
FTFY
Maybe the fact that Tadesse split 27:53 and 27:28 in a road half marathon in the past couple years and is just as fit?
Sihine FTW
As of right now it is very windy in Eugene, and I'm feeling allergies for the first time this year. Not looking good for Rupp racing.
I'd switch the pacing roles.
Nelson as 3000 pacer bringing the 5000 pacer Longosiwa thru 3000 in 7:58-8:00 with Jacob Korir holding the pace aiming for 26:45 as far as he can after a 13:18 5000.

I'm thinking the same thing.
And all the pacers need to stay in the front for as long as they can.
Fecking hell
Got up at 4:45am and Rupp is not running
I get hayfever too and still managed to set all my pr's in Summer.
I bet Farah is not running as well now!
no more white guys :/
I'll bet you're wrong and Farah blows Imane Merga away in the last 200 meters to win and set all kinds of records.
