am – that is another great week and an outstanding long run considering you really felt that HM from the week before. It is nice to savor the good feeling you get from a successful race.
And yes, 3:40 is a rather conservative goal for my upcoming marathon. If all goes well, I will power in from 20M. I've been more of a middle distance runner until recently, so I'm patient about this marathon business. It's a shiny new toy. I don't want to smash it to bits (just yet!)
I had been getting injured (and stale) running 5Ks when I started training with an ultra runner in the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico 2013 – 2016. We had a blast and I was hooked! At the start, I could barely imagine running a HM!
