Finally taking a few moments to catch up on the thread.
lucKY -- Do you have a diagnosis on the knee? I'm still looking to solve my issues once and for all, so am following your progress carefully. Not sure what you mean by "retro running."
Igy -- Your training is looking pretty serious. Do you figure CV pace as about 10K race pace? I rarely touch on that in training, but once last year I tried "alternations" of 800m at 10K pace, 800 m at marathon pace (if I recall correctly). It was much more "doable" than I expected. Six miles total, IIRC.
old guy II -- Recover well.
daagha -- Very nice mile time. Especially impressive considering your HPA. I don't generally have hamstring issues, but 200m repeats last year laid me up for a few days followed by very careful running.
Rtype -- Looks like the elliptical is working for you. I think I mentioned last week that it was crucial in getting me back in the game 18 months ago. For some reason, I didn't have enough patience with it this year.
amkelley -- Congrats on the 10K age group win. Taper well. I'm really rooting for you in the upcoming marathon. Hoping all those miles pay off in a big way.
MikeF -- That reunion sounds spectacular. Many old "war stories" to be had? What fun! Congrats on the 110.7K miles.
CM -- Any more details from Utica? Meet up with any old CNY rivals?
Olde Farte -- Ouch! No one else burned their soles? Hope you're recovered soon. I finally got past my achilles issues, then, of course neglected the heel drops ... and have felt a few twinges again. Aargh.
Racerdb -- Your latest comeback is in full swing. That 89+% AG score is darn impressive, even if it's not quite where you want to be. I'm looking forward to your next 5K.
Not Done -- Especially given the conditions, that's a great result. How crowded was the track? You've got me thinking of trying The Mile again ... sometime after I turn 60. Charlie gave me some good prep advice before my track race last year.
DougC -- Those are some fast times. Good luck in the 2-mile race. Road or track?
jimBOS -- Again, welcome!
Charlie -- I'm surprised you didn't get a couple more races in ... to take advantage of your current fitness.
Mike L -- Hope you bounce back soon.
