With the weather changing noticeably, and the fact that we're on Standard Time now, I move my exercising indoors. Local fitness center had a membership special, so I joined. My main goal is to not be dormant during the winter, so I avoid the "starting over" phase when the temperatures improve in a few months.
Mon -- off day
Tue -- joined fitness center, 5000m on treadmill, experiments with some weight machines
Wed -- met with a trainer, set up a 4-day weights program. Chest & triceps (Day 1) routine, 2000m on treadmill
Thu -- Leg (Day 2) routine, 4000m on treadmill
Fri -- Back & biceps (Day 3) routine, 3000m on treadmill
Sat -- Shoulders & abs (Day 4) routine, 4000m on treadmill
Sun -- Chest & triceps (Day 1), 4000m on treadmill
Going forward, I plan on visiting the fitness center as much as I can through the end of the year, following the 4-dayweightlifting rotation, and running 3000m - 5000m on the treadmill.
Still looking for a "New Year" 5k that' local to me. I did find one that looks good, but I need to buy a state park pass in addition to paying the race fee...decisions, decisions.
