Interesting article. However, it was involving only cyclists - I wonder if the same would apply to aging runners. I know cyclists would have far less musculoskeletal injuries than runners.
Interestingly, I've known some older runners (55+) from my club who over the years have transitioned to cycling due to chronic injuries and the frustration of the down time, rehab, medical intervention, etc. All of them have told me that their injuries have completely gone away and that they've never felt better, but still miss that "runner's high."
