Good morning. Fall like temperatures in the Treasure Valley, low 30s and frosty.
Brittle, the right hip has been my issue since the late 50s. Most of the same advice has helped me, with the addition of standing desk. Long hours of sitting with compressed hip joint exacerbated an anterior tilt of the right sacrum. Also, a sports orthopedist diagnosed a hip joint where the cup is less open and more closed.
dhaaga, you and allen1959 have had a very consistent year.
I have been taking my easy days off, adding running volume and intensity. Saturday was my best long run in about five years. So pleased with that.
My week:
Monday: AM- 2 miles easy; 4 x 250 m good speed / 150m easy; 400m easy; 6 x 600m good swing / 200m easy; 400m easy; 4 x 250 m good speed / 150m easy; mile easy; PM- 3 miles walking
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: AM- 2 miles easy; 800m tempo @ 3:48 / 2:00 rest; 2 miles road tempo @ 15:56 / 2:00 rest; 800m tempo @ 3:50; mile easy; PM- 2 miles walk/ easy
Thursday: Off
Friday: 5 miles easy @ 9:29 / mile
Saturday: 10 mile trail run @ 9:42 / mile with 800 foot elevation climb, miles 6-7-8 @ 8:07, 7:44, 8:02
Sunday: Off
