Week 180
*************************
Greetings, 50+ers! Well, the weather has turned; Co56 is thinking "I left Alaska for this?"...OK, just kidding.
At any rate, really nothing to report here, so this is mostly just a "bump" to get the ball rolling. Didn't add any mileage as the knee saga continues. I still haven't had it checked out, and I don't think I'll have a chance to until mid-December; just too much going on right now. I should add that true to form, over the past few weeks, the moving knot of pain (MKOP, as Spikez coined it) has moved around from the outside, to the front, to the back, to the inside, to above, to below....and back again. Every day is a new adventure, never mind the snap, crackle, pop. It does tolerate walking and retro-running, so I've done a bit of both, but nothing serious.
Gretehund, I wish I had some good advice for your husband. Hamstring cramping is sooo frustrating; my guess is either muscle imbalance or tightness (or both) is causing the problem. I thought this was a really good article:

SCgal, props to your husband's teams and hope you enjoyed your trip to Louisville.
And in that vein, I'd love to here some XC race reports. Nice to see most of you getting some good training in. KP, that's a nice set of 1.5's.
That's it from me; I'm not too worried for myself, I've been through these things before, it'll work itself out.
