Greetings 50+ers. Well, we've reached another milestone as this thread is now over 3 years old. Thanks to everyone for keeping this conversation going. I had a good, if unremarkable, week....not quite what I'd hope, but good enough. Managed just 25+ miles on 4 runs as such:
Sun: 7.6 easy to moderate
Mon: off (but walked 4 brisk miles
Tue: off (but did about 5 hours of heavy yard work)
Wed: 5.7 w/2x1 lap, 2x2 lap, 2x 1lap
Thur: 5.7 easy (slogged through a muggy afternoon)
Fri: 5.7 w/2x1.3@6:38 pace
Sat: off (in the car all day)
After Sunday's run, it completed 6 straight days of running where I'd put in over 40 miles, so it was time to take a day off. Wednesday, I took a little steam off the first sets of 1 and 2 lappers from previous weeks, then ran 80s,81s for the last two. Friday's two longer pickups really felt a lot harder than they should have, but so it goes. Too much travel Saturday to run (I'll get into that next week). That's about all I got; I'm in for a busy few days, so I'll have to leave it short, as we're about to go off and do some things.
I'm feeling pretty good about how things are going, even if it is still pretty tepid progress. Hope you all are training/racing/rehabbing well.
