Muddy Girl. Thanks for the update. Hadn't heard from you since HTC, was hoping to hear how that went. Sounds like you are really no worse for wear from it.
Also, TDF, really glad to hear that your surgery seems to have been a real success. Here's to many good miles ahead of you.
Skuj, sounds like you're back on track. What's the significance of 17:23?
Top Cat, old guy II: these things that creep up on us that "never had that before" are the tough to acknowledge as we get older. Keeps one constantly guessing when too much is too much, or whether we need to modify our training to incorporate things that we used to take for granted. I'm now rethinking how much strength training I should be doing. Up to now, I've never done any work with weights, just calisthenics. I figured my own weight was enough, but I think that as we get older, we need more resistance training to stay sharp...I think I'd like to investigate more about that sort of stuff in the coming months. Can anybody point to some good research?
Finally, I should have sent a shout out to all those that may be running in the 5k Masters Championships this weekend up in Syracuse. Looks like there is some really quality competition taking place in the 50+ ranks. I know there are several of you all that lurk (and even post) on this thread will be toeing the line, so good luck to you all. Should be a special day....although it's expected to be cool and possibly drizzly. Depending on who you are, that might be considered perfect. :-)
Cheers.
