mon. Easy 5k jog on trails. Later an easy 2k jog during a night time walk.
tue. A comfortable run up on the McIvor Range. Did the usual figure 8 Rocky Horror loops. By the time I'd reached the top for the third time it was dark and low cloud had descended. I chose a longer less technical descent. Total time about 2h 10m for 22+kms. My time at the top indicated probably about 1h.55-2h.00 for the normal 20k.course.
wed. thu. fri. Too much work to do any running. I'm not a big fan of work getting in the way of life but at the moment this job (one of my 2 jobs) is very hectic. We are also terribly short staffed so I just have to bite the bullet and put up with it for a few weeks.
Sat. Back to my more sensible job at the hospital and time to do some fun stuff in the morning. Ran the first 9.5k of a 12.5k loop around the town then finished with 6+ kms of rough stuff climbing to the top of the range and back down to home. 50 mins at the 9.5k and another 40m on the trails for 90 mins total.
Sun. Ran the 12.5k town loop in a comfortable 68 mins.before work.
Happy to have my bike back this week and have just replaced the little ute that I rolled so will soon be back into the kyak as well.
Planning on restricting my work hours on job number 2, I need to stop being the nice guy who says yes when asked. The days are too long, lately 14-15 hours. I have too much work to do around home and too much fun to have.
