If I were a betting man, I would put money on Solinsky toeing the line Friday night.

They're going to hammer the second half. Negative splitting is the way to go.
these guys are not good enough to significantly -ve split a 26'20 - 26'30
this is a rare top 10k race for the year ( maybe one in hengelo, but that's a bit soon from this & bruxelles has dropped it )
this maybe one of only 2 proper go's on the whole circuit the whole year
it needs a blistering 5k
sihine returning to action... how long has it been? haven't seen his name in a long time it seems and i thought he might be toast.

Clueless
"they're not racing because it is too close to nationals"
Back in the day runners ran qualifying heats for the 10k and then a final for the national meet and then again at the olympics
Yes, does anyone know what times these events are scheduled for Friday night, June 3rd? Need to know howearly to leave work in Beaverton to make it down there in time.Wow, this should be an amazing night of racing. Let's just hope the weather cooperates and there isn't the usual stiff breeze down the backstraight. Thanks!

Yes, but if they run it and their competition does not, they would be at a disadvantage.
It is one thing to run a 'build up' race to prep for the real focus, it is another to be spit out the back when you are going 100%.
