Good on ya Ryan, mate. Now that you proved you could dig deep against the chumps, could you please do it against the big boys? No one is asking you to blow the field away. No one is asking you to even win. Just dig for every freakin inch again.
Chumps?? Really? Are Gibney and the NOVA boys eatng low lying fruit for beating out the those 'chump', anchors in the DMR (Ulrey, Batty, Hubers, McCarthy, etc.) who ran 1600 anhcor times that may not win HS nationals this year??
I suspect you don't have a clue as to what kind of talent was on those Florida and A&M teams.
THIS SEASON:
Texas A&M
Miller - 45.49
Henry - 20.71, 44.77 (NCAA #1)
Preble - 46.4, 1:48.12
Roberts - 46.4, 1:48.1
Florida
Demps - 9.96 (NCAA #1)
Wilks - 10.19, 20.51 (#4)
Taylor - 45.30 (#5)
Obinwa - 1:47.73 (#5)
These are arguably the 2 best SMR teams in the nation....and PSU knocked them off using their NCAA #3 800 runner on the 400 leg. A great story if you ask me.
It's rather ignorant of you to use the analogy of 'oh well yea they got their watches...but it was against chump competition'. They knocked 2 of the 3 deepest sprint and long sprint programs in the country!!! The SMR is a specialty of these programs!!
These are young kids... PSU has a freshmen and 2 sophomores on the team (18-19 years old) doing what they love. Foster dug deep and won them the wheel...your a 'supposed' PSU alum for F*ck$ sake, be happy and embrace this.
