Webb ran 13:10 almost 4 years ago and 27:34 when nobody cared
To compare his body of work:
1:43.84
3:46.x mile
13:10 5K
and 27:34
is an absurdity
You look like a jack ass.
No American ever has run that range or run faster overall.

Dude, two attempts and you still missed the one who has the best chance of all. Give it a rest.

After giving it some thought, I should have said 4 runners.
2 have it right. Solinsky. Rupp.
2 do not. Fernandez. Webb.
You may argue that Hall and Ritz and whoever else are great runners and the best we have at their distance. But they will never be the best in the world. These 4 I listed actually have a shot.
wheating?

Rupp and Solinsky have a chance to be the best in the world? Are you stupid?

Now if he was truly stupid how would he have the intelligence to recognize that fact? I mean, come on!
fernandez has potential to be a great runner on the world stage, but it won't be in the 1500.
i'm willing to bet fernandez never beats a guy like wheating, EVER!!!
if they race 2,000 times wheating will beat him every single time.
now in the 5k, fernandez could be the guy to lead the US once lagat is finished or moves up. That will be his event. i CAN see him beating Rupp and solinsky at this distance.
u see him running half ass'd mile and 1500s cuz its not his event. but he did run 7:53 3k indoors despite all of this half assed running.
smith needs to wake the eff up and put this kid in a 5k. mix it up man stop having him in the damn 1500 every weekend!
Dave Smith doesn't need to do anything different with German! German is his own worst enemy which is the case for a lot of top runners. Dave is trying to let German progress and move him up sowly while he leans how to race. If you remember (or are old enough) Bob Kennedy had a similar college career in T&F. He ran the 1500 and the 3K focusing more on the shorter distances even though he was a phenom XC runner as a true Frosh. As he matured and improved his speed, he jumped to the 5K. German will be fine and will bounce back and be a great pro someday. He's had a string of injuries, but once he gets 100% healthy and gets fit he'll pop a great time. He still has the same talent that got him to a win in the 1500 as a Frosh and run an amazing 2 mile in HS. The talent is there but the fitness isn't.
German knows very well know to race, and quite effectively.
One of the major issues is that Smith keeps trying to change what he does.
