Yes, Malmo, I am following you, thanks for blocking the wind...However, just to clarify, I did not assert that you said they were misleading stats to serve your argument, but rather that you used the stats to serve your argument and then later explained why you thought they were misleading. I don't believe that we are in disagreement here, but I will also add, as you surely know, that Mark Twain popularized a saying which has been attributed to various people, including Disraeli, about there being three kinds of lies: "lies, damn lies, and statistics." The more important point here is that the wind aided the runners yesterday, and to quantify exactly how much depends on many variables, and may lead to the use of "lies, damn lies, and statistics."
