Desi?
world record pace baby!!
Very interested to see the final 10k of this race...
Who thinks the very fast first 15k will leave the legs very heavy the final 10k? Even with the winds to the back, that pace still is being absorbed by the legs going downhill. Just interested to see how it ends up.

Reported wind is 22mph WSW g26mph
That is the wind speed 10 meters (33 feet) ABOVE ground level and away from obstructions, 22mph there means maybe 15 at road-level.

Kim Smith's last mile (16 to 17) was 5:23
that would stil be right on pace. But if she really does look pained, that might be here last straw.-
Anybody know what the pack's last mile was?
I didn't fall off. I'm right there in the chase pack!
I recall that while USATF altered the standards for the OT-qualifying it did it in a way to include Boston. Don't know about the Olympics.
Just wanted to say "Thanks" to all you folks providing live updates here. I can't really watch it live so this is the next best thing.
Thanks!

Does anyone know where you can get live current standings of the top 10-20 runners in real time?
the winner will surely run under 2:05 today

Stop with this, already! Sub-WR pace for a downhill half marathon is not world record pace! They haven't gone out nearly as hard as that time would suggest.
the boston cbs feed is working for me in NY
Kim's Smith lead down to 19 seconds as chase pack starts to pick up the pace
Kara catching back up to pack. Ryan still looks comfortable. Hills will be interesting. Kara will beat Smith today - Smith is toast!
Smith in real trouble - taking no tangents, form deteriorating, head bobbing more in last mile. Should be passed in next 2 miles. Brave effort
