Hey all. As summer approaches i'm looking to re vamp my training. In the past I've been doing one tempo a week during summer training of about 4-5 miles. The longest i've tempoed is eight miles, which is the longest tempo by a longshot. I'm looking to consistently be running longer tempo runs as I have pretty good speed, but really want to focus on aerobic threshold this summer.
Any tips on getting my tempos up to the 7 to 8 miles range or just increasing tempo length altogether? My 4-5 mile tempos are normally around 5:35-5:45 pace, if that helps.
