Having Solinsky/Teg in the 1500m is good for Fernandez. At least the pace won't lag. I doubt the OTC guys came all the way down for anything other than a strong pace.

We should all know by now that not everyone listed in the heat sheet will show up for this 1500 invite. Would it be awesome to watch? Of course. Is it going to happen? Probably not. I dream of a day when coaches don't enter athletes into races they don't plan on actually competing in but nevertheless we are stuck with wondering "what if" for so many races that have the potential to be great.

There are other girls in there with better PRs than the two. They may not be in college, but I dont know if thats a "showdown" They could run the entire race and never even be side-by-side at any time. Personally I think Pixler is probably in much better 5k shape than Hasay at the moment. Pixler had no xc or indoor season, she has been training for just this and has a solid shot at making the US team this summer.
You're dumb. They were only saying it be exciting to see which collegiate beats who. Agreed, it will be a great showdown. Not sure which one will beat who. I'm going with Hasay.
So does Hasay.
Who's in the Men's 5,000m?

also
molly huddle
belainesh gebre
jenny simpson (barringer)
and more hopefully get a lot of A standards 15:14 from this race.
15:10? No way.
A lot of big names in there. Kind of crowded with 32 in the field, isn't it, although some will be no-shows...? Hopefully, no one's shoe will come off or fall.
cuba/mexico/texas/utah/california/arizona it's all the same mexican prople.
At least half that field are quality athletes and many of the others may be but I am not familiar with them. You have a number of people in that field that will go under 15 at some point.
Does anyone have the weather forecast? Remember the west coast is much drier than elsewhere and it cools down more unless the day generally was modest/cloudy to begin with (although one year I ran a "10k" road race that was in conjunction with the Relays where it was pretty warm -- then it turned out that the race was about 12K long, which only became apparent near about 8K or later).

Yeah... I was simply noting they were two NCAA studs who would be facing off. Obviously huddle/simpson/etc. are at another level and equal of the same attention/respect aside from the collegiate happenings.
fernandez isn't running at mt. sacs. his next race isn't till big 12

Doubtful. He still needs a qualifying time for regionals. Has to run somewhere.

He can run 3:45 at Big XII and make regionals. I doubt it's much of a concern for him.
I'm sitting here in the hotel next to Mt Sac watching LA TV channels. The weather and traffic girls have No physical flaws. Big boobs. They spin around 5 or 6 times every 30 seconds. None make one mistake in the delivery of their reports. That's L.A.

pixler will crush hasay. she's clearly fit from her solo 15:25 at stanford, then at colorado's home meet (not known to be very competitive she ran another solo in the 800 at altitude and ran a 2:08.
it will be between pixler/huddle/barringer types. i'm saying 14:59 wins it.
Get real Jake. LA is seriously weird no matter where you're from.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
