okay girls get excited! Jim Caviezel, who I think is the bomb is playing Bobby Jones in Stroke of Genius. Find me someone who looks like this guy!
I have been keeping up with this legendary golfer Bobby Jones as his story is one that we can all relate to. I am not a big golf fan either, not since Tin Cup with Kevin Costner. ANYWAY...
The movie is being compared to some of the big ones. One in particular is Oscar winner Chariots of Fire. The backdrop was track and field, the story about two guys who had to make some serious decisions about their public and private lives and whether to run.
As I've read Bobby Jones had said that he played for the love of the game and when you start to play for the money then you can not say it is for the love any longer.
Transferring this over to running - could stand for some debate. As my coach seems to think it is not all true. You could say that you still love it AND play for the money.
I think you lose some of the reason behind why you started running to begin with - is it really for the love anymore? Some of you more serious runners may have an opinion?
I think it will be a movie to see!
