Did Kenny Foster of the Army get the qualifying standard?
Anyone know how Ed Whitlock ran?
At least Sanca qualified for the US Trials. I see him knocking off 5 minutes at the Trials. Learning how to swim...thinking he got sucked into the fast early pace.
Consider yourself lucky. You saw it live. I was unable to register so now I gotta stay off the net lest spoilers pop up.
Is the noon broadcast free or do you still have to pay?
Is he going to run the US Trials? I thought his goal was to represent his native country at the Olympics (Cape Verde?).
Ed Whitlock 3:25:40 (1st 1:39:50, then slowed down but still ran even splits around 25 minutes per 5k)
Kenneth Foster 3:07:38 (1st half in 1:07:53, slowed down, 35k in 2:00:12, then totally blew up)
Results are here:

General result list doesn't seem to work yet. But you can look up individual runners by name or nationality (e.g. select landcode and fill in USA) under "Geavanceerd zoeken" - or see the age group list under "Uitslag per categorie".

Not sure about online, but it just started on Universal Sports on tv, with the one and only Josh Cox doing color commentary.
Ed Whitlock - 3:25 for a new 80+ WR. He chopped a handy 14 minutes off of the old record and was, of course, first in the M70 group as well.
ED WHITLOCK FOR PRESIDENT
It's a shame London steals away the best runners every year. Rotterdam gets GOOD runners, but the course is very fast and that makes the field look stronger. If they got the same field as London, a WR would be in the bag (although this year was a little bit warm).

He wasn't born in the US.

Didn't know that mattered any more. :0)
He set a new world record of 3:25.43, which should surprise no one. He is unbelievable.
Narrow streets.

When Salazar ran it was like a match race with Deek. Great race on ABC Saturday evening-same day coverage.
Deek won, Lopes 2nd. Salazar was on his way down unfortunately.
Why isn't Rotterdam a marathon major?
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
Ryan Eiler, 3rd American man at Boston, almost out of nowhere
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
