A friend of mine's daughter is a sophomore and is doing really well in the 800m and the mile. Just looking around trying to find out which schools I should recommend her to look into. What are the top DI women's distance programs in the nation?

As far as middle distance is concerned, UCLA
Long distance (3000 +) Standford, BYU
What is really well, if she is sub 5 in the mile and or sub 2:13 in the 800 she might be top D1 material, if she wants to be abused? You might look at some D2 and D3 programs if she is smart as well as fast. Look for a good match between her wants and what you can afford.
just checked out your site-- very informative! I don't follow college cross that much and your site was a great recap- Quick question though, what's up w/ Duke? Why all the transferring/redshirting? Maybe I'm living under a rock, but how do you lose your 2 top runners like that- and why would someone transfer from Duke to Columbia? I'm confused....
There is plenty of food on Duke's campus, but their girls weren't eating any of it........
