At first I was impressed to see Ndereba in a heat/effort induced stupor on her hands and knees at Boston's finish line but then Cherigat topped her, doubling over and blowing chunks not once but several times as ESPN cams zoomed in on him just after he finished. His last blast was a impressive Kempainen-esque yellow ralph that was cut short by some ESPN producer who either stood in horror screaming "cut away, cut away" fearing a FCC fine or like myself watched in awe and thought "that just caps off one truly fine display of effort" and decided to can further spout shots before he got canned. Anyone who isn't a runner should take a look at those clips which show in graphic detail just how tough our sport is. It'll be a cold day in hell before some bass fisherman, pro bowler, pro golfer or monster truck driver ever collapses from their effort. Hats off to Collins for giving it a go and everyone who persevered on a day that was better suited
for the beach.
