Anyone know what happened with Carroll at the London Marathon?
With lead group till about 10k, then dropped. Saw him well detached at 14 miles, not too far in front of pack of Brits running at 2.14 pace. He didnt get to finish and I dont know where he came out.
dropped out at 16 miles, couldn't go with lead pace and wants to save it to get a qualifier in the 10k
DNF
Stopped at 15(?) after a sub 64 first half.
Attrition was very high, mind you.
I had hoped he would run well, however, after that 5000 in Florida, I suspected he might be short of training.
SWEDES, so if he had raced a 13:00 5k in Florida then you would say that he was in his best Marathon shape then would you? Or would you say that 13:30 would indicate that he was in his best marathon shape? or perhaps 13:50 and he was just a shade off for you? You guys are the greatest, its so funny just to read some of the crap that you come out with. Running a marathon at this level would have very little to do with his performance in a tactical (not paced to European meeting standards)track 5000m.
As for all of those who thought that Carroll would just walk into the marathon event easily with a sub 2:10 clocking, EAT YOUR WORDS GENTLEMEN!
Back to the track for MC.
Ace, lighten up brother. I was hoping for a good showing for Carroll, after the time off due to injury.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
