What happens to your balls?
I was standing up in a whirlpool so my balls weren't in. That must make it even more painful.
they get sucked up into your stomach to keep warm
from what my trainer told me is that with the constricting of the veins and the same amount of blood going through them, you have more pressure and therefore all that extra pressure helps in washing away all that waste in your blood. like all the build up of dead blood cells and things of that nature. if you do this, we usually keep it from 55-60 for anything around 17,18 minutes, everyday you will feel awesome. if you stay in too long or have it too cold the treatment actually reverses itself and your body tries to protect itself. it goes into survival mode and you can actually swell up, or cause more blood to go to those spots.

I have been told by a trainer that 10-15 minutes in a ice bath is good and that cold tap water can do the trick just fine.
