These two guys act like some of the guys I used to know in middle school -- Eminem wannabes.
Calvin Klein underwear, NBA caps, nice apartment, looks like its not as rough as you made it out to be.

Not making much money? Not getting into Euro meets, to get fast times, to make more money?
This might be why:
"the ball rolling??? leader west fuk uz Balling G, if europe meets dont want u shove 1 up there ass sub 13.00 the first white niGGa.. lol"
Not sure what you mean here? You are aware that FOUR white Americans have broken 13? One German and one Australian?
These two are pathetic fu cking clowns. It looks like they left NZ after 2nd grade, before they learned to write.
A note-to-self for both of you: Look up Robert Van Winkle, see how he is beloved in America. You're Welcome.
Here is one more winner:
"respect brother nothin makes me happer then a nigga from the Gutter on his way up. blazin Liks for shezzy"
Sorry but in spite of all the Brouhaha on this thread I see nothing exciting whatsoever about these twins...sorta typical sub-elite stuff. Good but there's lots better.

I pity these boys. I remember another young New Zealander, who, generations ago, worked a crappy job in an office while putting everything he had into running. He only ended up winning 3 Olympic golds, but Olympic medals can't feed a family. After his running career, he tried to go to the States to get an education, but as everyone knows, if you don't go to college at age 18, you're not allowed to ever go.
That runner's name was Peter Snell, and when he was rejected from a college in the States (as is required, since, again, he was older than 18 when he applied), he was unable to find work. He ended up starving to death, I believe, because, again, it's impossible to pursue an education or indeed have any kind of semblance of a life if you put a lot into running well into your 20s.
(who the hell is tim culpepper?) lol, very funny. if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. this is the type of approach you take to get better. however, they could have hedged their bets somehow. who gaf, though.

Wow, I never knew how hard it was to get into college a little later in life.
Oh wait, it's not. Thanks for some retarded comments, retard. I guess you were too old for your parents to even get you into kindergarten.

Rojo, I understand how the passion evoked by these two young men have triggered an emotional response from you, however, I implore you to retain a modicum of rationality here. The fact of the matter is that they left their home at the immature age of 17 to live in extreme poverty in order to pursue an impossible dream. I greatly resent the notion of runners "giving it there absolute all to become the best they can possibly be" because it leads to destructive and irresponsible behavior like this. Following your dreams is one thing, but following them to this extreme will ultimately lead them to becoming nightmares.
Rationality is not what leads most people to pursue Olympic dreams. Why pick on the brojo for pointing out something like this?
