where can I find video of the 5k run earlier today?
where can I find video of the 5k run earlier today?
It's on the front page of letsrun............................................................................................................
haha
as usual
all of the new england schools who get fat off of the times at boston u get their shit kicked in from the WIAC schools and north central
every f***ing year, kids in the midwest get robbed while kids who run at BU get in with inflated times and then tank it on the flat tracks
Not entirely sure why you say that since northeasterners won the 400, 800, mile, and DMR on the men's side as well as the mile, 5k, and DMR on the women's side. Certainly the midwest dominated the men's 5k, though, if that's what you're talking about.
I understand that there are some guys who run at BU and show up to nationals and blow up. But there's lots of people who blow up who qualified on flat tracks, too.

Where on the front page? Link please
i ran at a diii on the east coast, so i obviously dont know what the atmosphere is like in the west/midwest, but i wouldnt be surprised if the west did better at nationals at least partly because nationals is generally the sole focus of the season for most athletes, whereas us new englanders get really caught up in running well in january (i'll never figure out why) and in the diii new england meet and the all division new england meet and ecacs/ic4as blah blah blah to the point where we're all crashing by nationals. this also explains why we dont perform as well in outdoor either compared to the midwest/west.
what in the world happened with Liz Lawton?! DNF?
And Schudrowitz, last year's 800 champ doesn't even make it to finals this year?!
Mentally WEAK. It's sad.
Lawton stepped off the track before hitting the 2 mile. She was pushing the pace until then.. then started to fall off as Pavlus and another girl put a gap on her. Seems like she crumbles when she realizes she isn't going to win.
At UAA's two weeks ago, Lawton was all alone up front but dropped out halfway and was puking her brains out for 20 minutes. Didn't see her after dropping out yesterday though...
She was sitting on the side of the track crying as her coach consoled her with seemingly nothing wrong with her other than the fact that she is a head case.
Lawton wasnt all alone at UAA's, Maeve Evans from NYU was sitting right on her back. Seems like she can run alone fine, but cant handle the pressure of having anyone on her. She came back to run the 3k at the UAA meet after claiming food poisoning in the 5k, but I guess the NCAA race makes that look pretty suspect.

Lawton is done w/ncaa running.
pavlus 10k/5k champ? how many championships will that be.
Yea I was gonna say I'm pretty sure I heard that Maeve Evans went out with her and that she wasn't "all alone"

Has anyone else noticed that typically the winners of indoor championships don't even place out doors. I just feel like if you are in great shape indoors, your focus is backward...
honestly, the competition is less in indoors, and it just feels like "eastcoast" nat's if you will, and I frankly feel it cheapens the sport, I'd rather see just one track nationals, and end all this hooha about well if this guy would have peak then, and if this guy would have jumped this far, and if this guy would have tossed it this far, I mean come on come on, enough is enough, lets do away with indoors, old school style!!!
All Americans form the North East last year at Outdoor Nationals
10000m----3 All Americans
5000m-----1 All American ftw
Steeple---3 All Americans
1500m-----7 All Americans ftw
800m------1 All American
We obviously peek too early.
