dude, i wish him luck, he's like the greatest runner of all time.

I'm so happy he's getting the attention he deserves!

I also wish him luck. The donations to charity are an example of being a good human being.

However, I do have a question that has been bothering me for a while. Why isn't he faster? He runs like 5 times my mileage (or more), but I could beat him in a regular marathon. Personally, I am an advocate for high mileage and believe that it is the key to fast performances from the 5k up, so why isn't he churning out sub 30 10k's? Or could he if he tried?

Dean mostly runs on roads. Trail running is not ultra running, and what Dean does isn't even running.

I don't really try that hard to run fast or win. Running isn't about winning, it's about having well defined pecs while running without a shirt. Also, if you can't beat them, just go farther than them. That's what I always say! If I can't impress someone with a fast marathon, I'll run 50 miles. If that's not impressive, I'll do 100. If that's not impressive, I'll run 350 miles, an odd distance that no-one has ever done so I'll have a guaranteed world record! Also, please consider it a world record for farthest distance without sleeping despite numerous other people having gone farther. I'd do more, but I can't.
