My achilles tendon has kept me from running the last 5 days(last thursday till monday) I rode a stationary bike for 20 min thursday and boxed for 40 min on sunday just to get the heart rate up. today I did 2x200 in 29 and 3x500m in 1:12-1:15 i felt fine while running but the warm-up and cool down was painfull.
I have a 1000m race in 10 days, I would like to run in about 2:24-25.
I don't have a problem sprinting or running workouts but slower running for a longer time still bothers my achilles.
Or do you think I should just forget about this race and take time off and rest and get ready for outdoor?
