Faster obviously. When you sprint your foot is on the ground for a very short time generating much more force and when you jog, for a much longer time generating much less force.

I think it's the opposite. Lumbering around at a jogging pace seems to put more impact force on your foot than running faster. Running faster would definitely mean more force is generated by your foot, but not to your foot.

Observing the runner's form might be even more important than a physics class. If the runner has a better form at a faster speed versus a hopping type of jog at slower speeds, then the former could potentially be less damaging.
do this test:
find a pond with thin ice and...
sprint across it then
jog across it
you will find your answer
Instead of theorizing, wouldn't it be nice if this was studied in a lab with the right equipment?
I would think shoe companies would like to know the results - oh wait.
