My cousin is a 26 yr old female with VERY LIMITED running experience (probably 35 miles over the past 2 years). She is pretty out of shape but wants me to help her start training for a 10k and eventually a half marathon. She is willing to carve out the time but the problem is she gets bored running. I'm a competitive college runner so its hard for me to understand where she's coming from. Other than music, does anyone have ideas of fun workouts for beginners? Even non-running workouts for cross-training would be helpful, we are starting at ground zero here. Any sincere advice appreciated.
